Discus the Lions and their game here!| Jon Kitna and Roy Williams Reunited in Big D | | The Cowboys have upgraded their back up QB position, by signing Jon Kitna. Brad Johnson proved last year, that his best football was behind him. When healthy Kitna has a good arm and is a good leader. Maybe Romo can learn some things from Jon.In a perfect world you will hear Romo to Williams and Kitna will be on the sideline doing clipboard duty. Contrary to most of the free agents the Cowboys bring in, I think Kitna is a good veteran player who will add and no distract from the team.
| | Roy Williams Out For Season Are the Lions Done? | | Poor Detroit Lions, this is the team that has used it's last 4 first round draft picks on receivers and there top receiver last year wasn't one of those four.To make matters worse two of the four players are no longer with the team. At least we can be sure they won't make it 5 years row. Although with Matt Millen you never know. | |
| | What do you think the Cowboys record will be this Season? | | Ok - So I must admit that before I met my husband, I had never watched a minute of football in my life. My husband, however, is a adie hard hard football fan and an even bigger Dallas Cowboys fan. The other day, we heard Warren Sapp say that he think the cowboys record for the 2009-2010 year will be 8-8...that's rediculous b/c I think they have a better team than that. I think that their record will be 12-4 or at the worst, 11-5...What do you think? Do you think ROMO has what it takes to take us all the way? | |
| | Boston College stuns No. 1 North Carolina 85-78 | | An unranked Boston College defeated the unstoppable North Carolina Tarheels 85-78. With there record 13-1 and in ACC 0-1 how will the Tarheels bounce back from this lost? Is Tyler Hansbrough the real deal or will he be another Eric Montross? As far for Boston College Tyrese Rice and Rakim Sanders were the playmakers for the Eagles, and who knows they may be a team not to take to likely. | |
| | fixing the dallas defense | | someone in big d needs to figure out that Roy Williams cannot cover deep very well at all and that he needs to move to outside linebacker. at outside linebacker he will be able to wreck havoc in the backfield and cover man to man on tight ends, slot, etc. any other suggestions? | |
| | who is your favorite team? | | Who is your favorite college basketball team?
Which team do you expect to cut down the nets in Indianapolis in April 2010?
Which team do you think might be a darkhorse to cut down the nets?My favorite team is Illinois Fighting Illini. I am extremely pumped about the upcoming season. We have our top three scorers from last year returning, and a very talented group of Freshmen coming in.
Demetri McCamey was our leading scorer last year, and now in his Junior it appears as though he is ready to make the step to being a true leader. His problem his first to years were consistency, quickness, and dedication. During the offseason he lost fifteen pounds, which will make him much quicker and able to play harder late into the game.
Mike Davis averaged double figures last year and was our leading rebounder. He is a 6'9" slender forward in his Jr season who added some weight in the offseason. He has a really nice midrange game and superior athletic ability. He has the ability to take over any game at any time, and has set goal of averaging 18pts and 10 rebounds per game this year. When he is on he is so much fun to watch.
Mike Tisdale, also a Junior was the third leading scorer from...
| | Why do the Detroit Lions suck so bad? | | The lions have quality talent in roy williams, mike furrey, and mike williams ( still waiting for him to decide to actually play). They have kevin jones at running back and pro bowl caliber players such as shaun rogers and boss bailey. They got one of the best special teams in the league with jason hanson and eddie drummond. the best offensive coordinator in football with mike martz. The only down point is their offensive line. Their record doesn't show their talent. when will it | |
| | Could the Detroit Lions be the worst team of all time? | | With only the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers left to play this season, if they fail to win a game could this Lions team be the worst of all time? This team has been a total disappointment to their fans, and have gotten so bad that they may even lose they're yearly Thanksgiving Day game. Personally, I don't know any Lions fans, and I am sure there are alot of them that wouldn't want too admit it right now, but for those of them out there it sure has been a rough season. The worst team of all time is probably the expansion Tampa Bay Bucs, who also went winless, and will likely remain the worst even if the Lions lose out, but this team should be nowhere near 0-14! Looking at this team in the pre-season you would have thought they at least could have made things interesting this year in a division that is one of the worst in football. Instead, they have become the joke of the league!Granted, QB Jon Kitna got hurt early on, but even that should not have made them as pathetic as they have turned out. The offensive line was supposed to be better, and tackle Jeff Backus is supposed to be one of the best offensive lineman in the league. Unfortunately they have been inconsistent... | |
| | The Sportswriter: The Life and Times of Charlie Beckwith | | I'm bored.
This is just something I started tonight.
Was lonely.
No riveting discussion topics worth mentioning, so I did this. Sort of autobiographical except for the references to the relationship with the publisher.
Tell me what you think.
The Sportswriter: The Life and Times of Charlie Beckwith
One
“You’re fired.”
Pretty cut and dried actually without the usual fanfare of calling one into the publisher’s office and the long, drawn-out speech that nobody wants to hear dragging out the inevitable axe that is poised to strike which now hovers precariously above your neck, the razor sharp blade glistening silver in the light.
Nope.
Just the blunt force hammer-to-the-head trauma of “you’re fired.”
Two words.
Well, two words and a contraction, but two words because the publisher probably meant the y-o-u-r version of you’re rather than anything grammatically accurate.
I know.
I’m splitting hairs.
When you hear “now get the f*ck out of my office,” promptly following the “you’re fired,” correct grammatical syntax is the last thing on your mind right then.
I’ve sure as hell heard it enough, and this time I wasn’t all that surprised.
In fact, this time I knew it was...
| | Are the Cowboys going to the super bowl this year!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | I think the Cowboys are going to the super bowl this year. Mainly because we have a great team and because we have been coming so close to getting there each year. Not to mention Roy Williams is most definitely a key player. Besides who wants to dissapoint Jerry Jones? | |
