| Detroit Lions - Are they really a professional football team? | | Are the Detroit Lions really a professional football team? Ever since the departure of Barry Sanders, the Lions have gone from mediocre to just plain dreadful. Poor ownership, poor drafting, poor management, and poor team have made this franchise into a national joke. One day they may be competitive again. I figure in about twenty years. | |
| | after a 19 game loss.....The Detroit Lions win their first game | | for those that follow the football games of the NFL season, you would know that the Detroit Lions have lost 19 games in a row.... and yes, there is only 16 games in a season --therefore they lost all of last season and lost all the games so far as of this year... and if there games are not sold out they will not be televised here on tv.[em]doh[/em]today they were not televised --and they won!![em]lol[/em] 19 -14 the final score.. I find it ironic that they there winning game number was 19 as they had lost 19 games before this game.[em]wink[/em]So where are you from and do you have a NFL team near you? Who do you cheer for?? did your team win today, did they play, did you get to watch the game?? | |

| Training camp started this week for our Detroit Lions... | | For those that dont follow football or NFL... Detroit Lions season last year was 0-16... yep they lost every game!!!!! anyone who is into football nows how well the Detroit Lions do during the football season....[em]lol[/em][em]rolleyes[/em] well this year they have new players and even a new staff as well and for the first time that I can remember --we are now actually seeing commercials to promote the Detroit Lions and this years season of NFL Football!! AFter last years season I am sure they are wondering if anyone will watch them..... there fore the promoting now would come in handy!! Is your team now in training camp?? Are you starting to hear and see things about your favorite football player?? Does your city have commercials on your team? Are you looking forward to this years NFL season? | |
| | Michigan Home Of Democrats, The Big Three, and The Detroit Lions | | Governor Jennifer Granholm is a Democrat. Both Houses of the Legislature are controlled by Democrats. Both US Senators are Democrats. Democrat Congressman representing the State outnumber Republicans two-to-one. The Mayor of Detroit Kwame Kilpatrick is a convicted Democrat who now sits in a jail cell. Ford, GMC, and Chrysler is headquartered in Michigan. Now the Detroit Lions own a distinction no team wants the worst in NFL history. I wonder if there is a connection? | |

| 2010 Super Bowl Winner? | | I believe that the Colts will win it all this year. My pre-season expectation was that the Patriots would win but after watching them fall to the Jets last week, i think that Tom Brady buckles under to much pressure. He might think he is the best, but I have yet to see it so far this year | |
| | How did your team do in the draft??? | | My team, the Lions did not do some well. They had thew second worst defense of all time last year and they pick two defensive players in the draft. What a joke!!!! | |

| | Miami at Detroit | | Joey Harrington never won three straight games in a single season with the Detroit Lions. He's already done it in just six starts for the Miami Dolphins. Harrington, a former first-round pick of the Lions, returns to Detroit on Thanksgiving as the Dolphins try to move within one game of .500. Harrington was traded to Miami (4-6) in May, just four years after the Lions (2-8) drafted him third overall. He became the scapegoat for Detroit's woes during his time there, as the team went 18-40 in games during which Harrington played. The quarterback's return to Ford Field -- where he was booed unmercifully -- will provide intrigue in what seems to be a lackluster matchup. "I know that stadium pretty well," said Harrington, who has led Miami to three straight wins and is 3-3 since taking over for Daunte Culpepper. "I know what section the boos come from." After losing to Atlanta last Thanksgiving, the Lions fired Steve Mariucci, and cornerback Dre' Bly later blamed Harrington for it. Bly is doing his best not to escalate the drama. "I ain't talking this week," Bly said. Harrington threw 60 touchdowns and 62 interceptions with the Lions, finishing... | |
