Discus the Lions and their game here! | | NFL 2007 Draft "Judgement Day" | | With the draft rolling around the corner the big question is who going first. Will it be Mr. Automatic, Calvin Johnson out of Georgia Tech; or will it Jamrcus "the cannon" Russell out of LSU?The games for this season came to a conclusion with the Super Bowl, but the planning for next season began Feb. 4th. So for fantasy players and fans alike who is going to be the big dog rookie comin' out of the little leagues to put up big numbers on the Jumbo-tron?this is what we must ask ourselves for the upcoming 2007 NFL season.
| | Who's Going First In The 2007 NFL Draft? | | With the Oakland Raiders having the first selection this year, who do you think they are going to draft. Obviously, the Raiders need a QB, but the question is, will they draft one or trade for one before the draft? I have heard rumours of the Raiders possibly trading Randy Moss to the Packers for Brent Farve. I don't think that is a wise decision. Farve only has one more year to go, it would be a waste, especially if they went ahead and drafted WR Calvin Johnson because they would then need a WR. I think they should just go ahead and draft Brady Quinn. Jamarcus Russell is good, but overall, I think that Quinn is going to be a better QB. Anyways, what do you think? | |
| | Who will be the top 5 picks in the NFL Draft? | | Ok I will give you the teams along with my predictions. I'm just interested in what you all think! Oh and remember Cleveland and Tampa are flipping next year for 3rd pick.
My Picks
1. Oakland Raiders - JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
One thing Oakland has never had is a mobile quarterback that throws better than he can run. This would be a great pick for Oakland.
2. Detroit Lions - Troy Smith, QB, Ohio State
Troy Smith showed what he could do this year and has won the Heisman Trophy. I personally believe Russell is a better QB on a worse team right now so I think Troy Smith will be chosen 2nd.
3. Cleveland Browns - Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
Cleveland has a young QB, a veteran line, a productive RB, a tight end, and 3 good WR so now it is time to beef up the defense. Who better than the 2 time Jim Thorpe award winner.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
I think Calvin Johnson will leave for the draft this year and do a great job in the draft. Tampa Bay has some Old receivers and its time to start a new Generation of them. I believe Johnson is the best receiver in the draft right now.
5. Washington Redskins - Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn StatePaul Posluszny...
| | Could the Detroit Lions be the worst team of all time? | | With only the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers left to play this season, if they fail to win a game could this Lions team be the worst of all time? This team has been a total disappointment to their fans, and have gotten so bad that they may even lose they're yearly Thanksgiving Day game. Personally, I don't know any Lions fans, and I am sure there are alot of them that wouldn't want too admit it right now, but for those of them out there it sure has been a rough season. The worst team of all time is probably the expansion Tampa Bay Bucs, who also went winless, and will likely remain the worst even if the Lions lose out, but this team should be nowhere near 0-14! Looking at this team in the pre-season you would have thought they at least could have made things interesting this year in a division that is one of the worst in football. Instead, they have become the joke of the league!Granted, QB Jon Kitna got hurt early on, but even that should not have made them as pathetic as they have turned out. The offensive line was supposed to be better, and tackle Jeff Backus is supposed to be one of the best offensive lineman in the league. Unfortunately they have been inconsistent... | |
| | The NFL draft is here!!! | | The Raiders have the number one pick and I hope they pick calvin johnson. They have a whole new offensive line. so they should make a vast improvament no matter who they pick!! | |
